Great job Steve. Essential stuff for all drummers. You always had great doubles and they sound super clean and open. 3 camera angles to see what's going on. Always enjoy your vids Steve.

Awesome stuff Steve. Your snare sounds amazing, as do your crisp doubles.

Have only watched part 1 so far, doubles on unaccented notes on 1/8 triplets.

Maybe you covered it in the other videos or perhaps I missed it, but I was wondering what your thoughts are on accenting the middle triplet partial but putting doubles on the first and third? Effectively like the opposite to the one where you accented the 1/8ths and put a double on the middle.

WOW! That was excellent on every level. Watched all 3 of them in one go. You do everything right imho. Genuine, articulate, informative, clear, to the point, funny, inspirational and very , very useful ... you just make me want to practice and shed. Love your drumming, I really love it.

I spent a lot of time working on 32nd note phrasing using paradidles - as a free bonus turns out you can apply the same concept to 16th note triplets! It's kind of a different beast in terms of feeling those kind of phrases and I'm still getting the hang of it. Works well in triplet-based grooves.
Anyways this video has some of that stuff:
