The new podcast with Bill Detamore from Pork Pie is great, talking about Jeff Porcaro and his 'Pearl' kit.

WOW...most of this podcast is right down the street if you live in the SFV!
That what living in LA is like...you can drive by stuff that goes global and
never know it!

GREAT podcast...thanks for the heads-up on this episode...the Ludwig
story alone was fascinating! Drill press looks pretty close and drill...lol
This dude needs to be tapped for more...

The Jeff story is well known but let's be honest...love me Jeff, but lack of
integrity to get paid and not use the Pearl kit. Not that in reality it makes
much difference, as in drummers either seeing TOTO live or listening to
a TOTO studio cut and say, "THAT is the drum sound I want, therefore I will
go buy a Peal drumset." But...the implication of celebrity endorsement is
based on that yes?

Yet...he says it all, "Tons and tons and tons and tons of stuff I do I cannot talk about..."
So much for "off the rack" drums from the stars! VERY Hollywood...deception
of appearance. lol
