I'm on tour in Japan right now, in Tokyo for a couple of weeks with Sarah Brightman, (headed over to the USA soon for a tour - but that's for another day).
The Sakae factory is in Osaka, where we get to spend a few days. i may go and check these drums out in the flesh, I'm sure they are fantastic.

My only question is in the support they give. Yamaha are available all over the world and give fantastic support to their artists. I'm not suggesting that Sakae Drums won't give fantastic support, my only question is when a Yamaha artist who has jumped ship is in Timbuctoo doing a gig and needs drums of a certain size or spare parts/ replacements etc, how fast Sakae are going to be able to get them out? What sort of on the road support are they going to be able to give in comparison to Yamaha, who are fantastic at that.

Just a question.

I've tried some of the snare drums and they seem pretty good.

Paul, thanks for posting that link about my page at Sakae Drums, great stuff !!! :-)
And check out the music guys, it represents very well my way of playing.

Mark, I'm sure when Yamaha started they were not able to have a kit everywhere in the planet, in time Sakae will be right there, that brand gonna grow very fast.

Have fun in Japan mate, cheers.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

Yeah man, I'm looking forward to hearing your next recording with those Sakae drums. The Trilogy line sounds really nice in those samples on their website. Are you going to use their pedals too?

I finally got around to checking out this record. Holy cow! Roger's playing is at a VERY high level, and his compositions are great too. I highly recommend everyone pick this one up ASAP!

If Rodge posts some pics of his new drum set, I'll definitely check this one out. :)
