Pretty sure that was Dave Elitch playing behind Miley Cyrus on Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night. Cool.

She's obnoxious, but the band was great.

Please explain to me the allure of playing for pop stars like her or Madonna or KeSha for that matter. I do love playing but the idea of supporting these non-artists is sickening. I just don't see it. It's playing 4 until you are blue in the face. No appreciation from the audience either

WTF? This video is a huge disappointment! I expected her to rip that shirt off at some point and nothing of the sort happened. You should know better Miley...
The girl can sing though... Just sayin'.

I think it would be great to see anyone here on a big pop gig. Dave is such a versatile pro, just doing his job...

Thought it was funny listening to Steve Smith's audio on the history of rock drumming...
he mentions interviewing Elvis' drummer...DJ...he was not into the "pop" thing at the time
but needed a gig...so he became the drummer for Elvis. There ya go...nothing new under the
sun.

Of anything this is proof that the role of the 'sideman' still exists.
Great gigs are out there for those that know the right people in the right place and right time.
