Yep, that regularly happens when one company "merges with" (is acquired by) another.

is Vic Firth secretly owned by Zildjian then?

I don't see it as the typical cut-throat business deal like I have been affected by many times in the past. I'm pretty confident there won't be the negative impact to employees that other industries have seen. These are two family owned businesses combining their resources in an effort to maintain their service to the industry, keeping costs down while remaining profitable. At least I'm hoping this is the case.

I betcha Vic firth is gonna drop Cindy Blackman now for leaving Zildjian...jk

Haha someone must have offered her more money... that's generally how the story goes. The other possibility is she wasn't able to be exposed enough to maintain her side of the endorsement deal.

Does that mean that Zildjian will now sell culinary equipment too? haha

i wonder if there going to drop the Zildjian sticks or just make them Vic firths
