I've got a bunch of recordings to check out over at my drumming website http://willandrews.virb.com.
Thanks again for digging the stuff guys. I haven't done any drum solo stuff in a long time (dun dun dun) but I'm feeling inspired to get my shit together and put something up maybe in the near future. It might be good for business, who knows? :D

Good job on Marrow (ie you nailed it). One of my favorite tunes from Koloss also.

Hey everyone! Figured since the first track I posted got a good response, I'd bump this thread up with a brand new song we dropped yesterday. It's more in the style of '80s King Crimson, and again instrumental. Recorded at Studio Litho in Seattle with Don Gunn at the helm. Vintage Tama Superstars and a bunch of cool Paistes. Hope you dig!

Wish the snare had more punch, but this is KILLER bro!
Great playing. Toms sing so sweet...hats are perfect in
the mix. Such a great melodic feel here...love the "rolling
groove"...that small tom and ride nail it for me...love this!

Thanks Pocketplayer! Glad you dug it. The ride is a Paiste 22" Rude Ride/Crash from 1984 according to the serial number so it's got that inherent Copeland sound that I love. Kit is a late '70s/early '80s set of Superstars (10,12,13,14,16,22x14, 6.5x14) with coated vintage emps/clear ambs. Hats are two heavy 13" bottoms put together. We freeballed it (no click track), which I think added to the feel in the final mix

Yes yes! I also hear some CLOUDKICKER influence in there (or if not influence per se, similarity!). Very nice, man!

Edit: Hey, gotta ask- are you an Intronaut fan? I get some Danny Walker vibes from your playing. Cool stuff.

I've never listened to Intronaut or Cloudkicker, but I'll definitely check them both out
