I hear dreadful reports of Ricky Lawson's death. Can anyone confirm or debunk?

The Detroit Free Press who reported him dead now retracts that report and quotes Ricky's uncle, a Paul Riser
saying that Lawson is in critical condition, and has no brain activity.
