Spoke to him briefly at the Pro Drums Xmas party a few weeks back. Really nice guy. Seems to have it all together on so many fronts. He was in the North Texas State drum line as well as a total jazzer. Was raving about the Keplinger cymbals they had at the store. Says he loves using them on jazz gigs.

A buzzroll ... on a marching snare. It violates so many unwritten laws of marching snare protocol, it makes my skin crawl. But somewhere I know Ralph Hardimon is smiling at the thought of it ... if not the actual execution. And Tom Float would be scowling at him for it.
