I just noticed the similarity between these two tunes. I know Phil was a big fan of Tony's, so no wonder really. "Morrocan Roll" was a big influence on me in its time.

Yesssss... Livestock was my initial exposure to Brand X.... John Goodsall is an amazing guitarist... Percy Jones was highly praised by Jaco Pastorius if I am not mistaken...

Such a great pop writer and singer too.
Here from Live and Loose in Paris with the late great Ricky Lawson in the pocket:

Phil offered his services to Pete when Moon died. Trying to imagine it. Not feeling that one.
But Kenney Jones was like a fish out of water in that band. You could hear everyone better and the melodies were stronger but no fire.
Phil could have kicked a bit more ass in that band. Eminence Front would have been different.

Face Value and Hello I Must Be Going had HUGE influences on me when I was young. Also "Easy Lover" with Phillip Bailey - drummed along with that many many times. I've heard contradicting reports of the drummer credited on that one. Hmmmm
Anyways..

Yeah Steve, those albums are really great, I like also "No Jacket Required".
"Easy Lover" is nobody but Phil, or an incredible clone of him ?
