YAMAHA 15" JR Snare.

Postby Richie Jarvis » Sat Jan 01, 2011 8:00 am

Hi all,

I was lucky that Santa (girlfriend) a mint condition 15" YAMAHA JR snare drum. Being a Yamaha artist she knew I had my eye on this for a long time but was discontinued.

Long story short, brand new off ebay never ben used from my understanding but there is a major catch, I can not for the life of me locate a case to store it in. Looked at Protector and SKB but there is nothing available to handle the drum with the wood hoops.

If anyone has one could you let me know what case you house these babies in, I fear I may need to go custom on this.

Thanks guys.

Gongratulations!

I have same snare and it just barely fits to Hardcase 14" x 5,5" case. And I have also stored it in softcase (unbranded) so some brands might work also but I don't think Protection Racket is big enough...

Nice catch!

Use a larger case with foam to make up the difference. I also do this very effectively to hold multiple snares in a single case.

Man, that is a beautiful drum, Richie!

Any woman that will buy you a snare drum and include 'Little Drummer Boy' is a keeper!

She is a great girl and supports my drumming career, you should see the Gadd snare she got me for my birthday.

The little drummer boy was from Piper our dog, didn't know the dog could wrap.
