NAMM 2015 and my first trip to the states.

Postby Richie Jarvis » Fri Jan 09, 2015 4:44 am

Hi all,

Well as the tittle suggests I am making the 14 hour flight to the states to attend the NAMM show, taking in some events like Bonzo Bash and a STYX concert I will be In LA for a few days here and there.

Drum shops and lessons are a plenty but just wondering who on here is up for a hang with some random Australian drummer, I arrive on the 20th and plan on getting lost in some drum shops, steak houses, cigar bars ETC...

So who's up for a catch up?

Oh and look at this...I mean LOOK AT IT......NEW....paid almost nothing at a clearance sale at a local drum shop......seriously......AWESOME!!!

Hop you are all well and safe....

Pre-emptive welcome!

I'll be there this year, probably checking out the Nomads (Whitty, Brown, Minh-Doky, Weckl) at Catalina's Thursday night before the show starts in earnest, would be cool to meet up with whomever's around from HoD.

You will have a blast. Check out the aristocrats at Alvas in San Pedro. They will be there for a week! Also Holdsworth and Virgil are in hermosa beach on the 25. Both are in the South Bay area. As long as u are renting a car all is good. The shows around Los Angeles are super fun. I could care less about namm.

Looking forward to picking your ass up from the airport at the crack of dawn!

We should check out that Holdsworth show in Hermosa- right in my hood!

Willy your near hermosa beach? Nice. I am walking distance from the venue on the 25th. I am having a hang at my place before the show. A few musician buds coming over for grub and suds then walk down to the jolly good show. Stop by. Any HOD cat is welcome.

Would love to hang! Randy, Tim, and I will be hanging at NAMM and also heading over to the Bonzo show.

Will you have a mobile phone when here?
