I think he sounds great on that kit. Far superior to anything of DW's. May even be up to part with the Yamaha stuff.
I haven't heard those drums in person, but I've heard nothing but great things regarding their Star line.

It's no big deal, most of the major drum company have good sounding drums, Tama included.

I was just a bit surprised with the choice. I know Peter will sound amazing on every drum he'll use. It's all about the player to me.

It's been talked about a lot on this forum. Its not ALL about the brand, it's partly about what the drum company can do for them. These guys are travel all over the world - tours, clinics etc etc...they need support. For schlubs like me, I pick what I like to hear - especially if im hauling around myself in the car! But, shit, if a company is going to endorse and support me while I travel, I'll make any higher line kit sound good and to my liking.

Yes, I always loved Tama, because Stewart and Billy, not hard to leave DW...
