Hey, 2011 marks my 10th year on HOD! Time flies.
Fell on it while searching for Dave or Vinnie stuff back then.
HOD is the only board I've ever checked or posted on.
Thanks Steve for this warm little home for drummers on the web!
My 10th year on HOD
Re: My 10th year on HOD
Congrats! I guess this would my 10th year, too. I met Randy through the board in 2000.
“Let's try some of my songs.” Dave Grohl, top sign drummer will be fired.

At least 10 years for me too- I discovered the site as well searching for Weckl and Vinnie stuff in 1999/2000. (I think the only other site that came up was Tom Knight's- remember?)
I think the HOD crowd has changed a bit, it's not as enjoyable for me anymore, but it's still a cool hang when people aren't being overly opinonated, territorial, self-promoting, and/or narcissitic...so, basically I don't hang as much anymore- lol
Congrats and thanks Steve for a good 10 years- here's to another 10!

Yes, it changed a bit. For one there seem to be fewer members.
In early 2000s, the sheer volume of posts was unbelievable. Some guys had thousands of posts (remember Fuse?). I couldn’t keep up.
Also it was the beginning of the “Vinnie rush” on the web. After 10 years, the source dried up a bit and it’s normal.
I find it sane that the topics got less “Vinnie heavy”. I like threads on music and musician’s life. I’m more a fan of music than just drumming.
Steve, I’d be curious to have some membership stats.
How many members were on the old brown forums vs the 2nd version and this one?
