Tourette syndrome - compulsive behavior, impulsivity, hyperactivity, meaningless repetition of own words, nonsense word repetition, repetitive movements.

You could apply that to thousands of artists, music or what ever . You can pick apart any concept at until your hearts content. Why bother.

It's more the randomness, I'm just not smart enough to get it .. I'm sure there's a thread there but I can't feel it.

It's especially great how he supports the soloists and drives the music forward.

Oh, wait...

Never mind.

I don't really think of Dom that way.

He's more like Freddie Gruber for young people.

Dom slammed me when I questioned his Gadd interview...I simply stated that Gadd,
a drummer that has been in the drum culture at the highest level for over 30 years
imo deserves more than the novice question of, "So tell me Steve, where did it all start?"
Not like there isn't, ummm, 20 interviews on Youtube w/Steve Gadd stating the same
info!

Gadd has to tell that story all over for what, the new breed of millenials watching
Dom's Youtube videos? I suggested rather doing your homework and starting the interview
with a summary of his early development thus showing to Steve he did his homework, pay
the man some respect and dive into something interesting over what was your favorite record
as a kid or how did you first get interested in drumming...surely Dom has the awareness to know
Steve Gadd is not in the same interview format as Chad Smith!

*YAWN*

I really like what Dom is doing...but wow did I tap a nerve! I do get the sense that Dom is
selling Dom a lot on these interviews (he listens well which is great), but the over "spiritualized"
feel can be a bit too "love-fest" at times for me.

Gotta agree. Same with Mike Johnston (dude is a glorified salesman, nothing else). Dom is not the same, but I don´t think we should worship technique gurus that never had a real recording date or pro tour experience. Kinda crazy if you think about it.

Julian I think you could still get your point across without calling someone a clown.
