Paolo Vinaccia

Postby Odd-Arne Oseberg » Thu Oct 14, 2010 2:06 am

Been hangin' around the old forum for awhile, but was finally able to register on this new one.

Thought I'd post some clips of one of my own all time favourite drummers mr. Paolo Vinaccia.

Unbeknownst to many, odd time is just short for Odd-Arne time.

Bendik Hofseth's old lineup have been doing a lot of gigs these last 6 months. They've simply played his first album,"IX" start to finish. The final show will be in Oslo May 10. I'm really considering making the trip just for that. One of my all time favourite albums and one of the first CDs I ever bought when I was 14.

These players, though they've done a lot of their own things now are some of the most recorded session players we have. They're sort of like Norway' Toto, in a way.

Paolo was struggling with cancer for a long time, to the point of having other drummers on his own latest work, but he's all better now. Still doing it his way.
