Oh shit! Another crazy night of drumming madness! Novak killed it, Gergo killed it! I hung a bit with him and his wife, very nice folks. Kirk Covington played and grovved his ass off. Danny Carrey was hanging. it was a a cool drummer hang, Isaac came with me too.
Oh yeah I got some 1080p footage of Gergo and Novak lighting it up. Sick quality. Stand by for posting.

Also met Matt Hughen as well, super nice cat! Brought me the Tony DVD he made.

It was complete overload for me. I'm still recovering mentally. I'm still assimilating. The whole night was insane starting by watching Vinnie in "hulk" mode at Steve's place. Wow....what a night!!!!

crazy, Crazy CRAZY!!!
A fantastic night of drum geekery!! For only my second jazz-esque show since moving to LA in June, I have been treated to several more unreal performances. Gary Novak destroyed despite being annoyed by issues with the loops and Gergo, guesting for the begining of the 2nd set was equally fantastic in his own right. That guy has GREAT ideas and executes the shite out of them. Got to hear Kirk Covington live for the first time which was a treat as well . . . and Danny Carey was hangin out. Only in LA!
On top of all that I completely enjoyed the bass player Tim Lefebvre. Hope to see more of that guy!

As if that was not enough, I got to meet Steve and Isaac to round out the drum/music overload that was the lightly attended Spud last night. Great guys who I hope to see more of including at the HOD LA hang! Hope to meet more LA HOD guys ..... maybe at the Jan 19 show of Rudder with Keith Carlock and Tim Lefevbre.
