Agreed. Sting's is having a bad day.. But hey, also looks like he feels pretty uncomfortable without the Bass around him.

All in all out from my musical taste, a little too polished rendering of this beautiful classic...

Love the sound from Vinnie, just hoped it would be some music that would suit it better.

Vinnie is like going be 57 years old this year? Some extra baggage is pretty normal...

We know it from ourselves... He's been touring alot these years. And Touring is the no.1 reason for me personally to gain weight. You lose your daily routines, workout, eating habbits, alcohol etc. So looking at Vinnie last years of touring i'm impressed he didn't gain more. The T-shirt he's wearring also makes him look bigger than he really is.

I heard that he is trying to reach Dennis' "weight level". :)

Maybe Vinnie just quit smoking or something.

Guys, why are you not focusing on the music, or Vinnie's drumming ?

I was just joking Rodge :) This is quite rediculous discussion.. Dennis has been "heavy" (to say the least) for as long as I can remember him and no one's talking about that. And I frankly do not care if VC is thick or thin, he's always my favorite.

He keeps a hell of a good company, but his playing is absolutely cold to me.
It's out of time, tune and anything else I like in music.

how's this different from most guitarists? :)

all joking aside, Jeff Beck has roots in blues. It's all over his playing. So bending notes, playing out of time (which most blues solos are) is expected. Jeff Beck also has an incredibly unique way of play guitar, his touch (with fingers) is unlike anyone else. It's real. It's raw. I'm not sure how you think it's cold or how it's out of tune ? I could maybe see some of the notes being micro-tonally not dead on (due to his bending or whammy bar usage), but it's similar to playing behind the beat (to me). But, to each his own. I dig it.

OT: Sting looks like an Appalachia-mountain man in this video. I keep expecting to see him put a big dip of chew in his mouth. :)

not the greatest rendition of this song. vinnie played good as usual. i can see why people don't dig jeff's style. i like it for some odd reason. ever since i heard blow by blow i was hooked. have all of his old solo stuff. the tunes are really good. he's has a very unique style. has great touch. how about the album guitar shop. brilliant stuff.

I can't see why people don't dig Jeff's style, he's a genius, a magician, but hey, to each his own I guess...

Check out his solo here, if you don't like, well, taste and color, here :
