I always loved Bryan Beller's "Frankenstein's Monster"-like description of Virgil.

He was talking about Virgil not Marco..... ?? :D Having the Dream theater audition in mind....Marco blew all the others a way..... no doubt .... :)

Another way to look at it: assemble your perfect drummer. I want to add a rule: you may use / mention a drummer just once. And I want to split brain into virtuosity and musicality.

Right Hand: Jeff P.
Left Hand: Benny G.
Right (BD) Foot: JR
Left Foot: Horacio
Brush abilty: Clayton
Virtuosity: Vinnie
Musicality: Hans Eijkenaar (who??)

I'd just split all body parts lengthwise with equal parts Vinnie and Paolo(Vinaccia) + David Garibaldi's fingernails and John Guerin's toenails.

I know the guy is praising Virgil, but come on, Virg is already in his own league, he doesn't need to be compare, he's up there since longtime already.

@ Rodge It's not a new quote. It's late 90's/early 2000 :)
