Does anyone know if Jeff did
the Sonny/Cher TV show? I know
his first gig was the tour.

Thanks. How cool. I'm wondering if Jeff was the actual Studio drummer backing up all of the musical acts that appeared on the show?

Id say yes to that...he was the drummer on the show so whatever act was on, Jeff backed them up with the house band.

Jeff kills this tune! His work with Japanese artists is fun to dig into...

[quote="Pocketplayer"]Never saw this before...Jeff in studio 1989

Hey Pocket, hope you're well. It seems that wasn't the final drum take. Check this out. Someone uploaded the same video but overdubbed the final mix.

"The late, great Jeff Porcaro recording Eleanor Rigby in 1989. I have overdubbed the final Steve Lukather recording onto the video. It isn't the actual drum take unfortunately but I thought that it would give us an idea of what Jeff was hearing and give us an insight into the man's phenomenal groove! Luckily a lot of the main groove sections line up and it's amazing to watch."

Hi there,
did we already dicuss Jeff's fantastic playing on "Big Bone", a tune by Jeff and David Garfield, released on "Los Lobotomys" in 1989?
What are they doing in that break between 02:02 and 02:05? Is it stll in 4/4?

Thanks in advance.

Between this and 'The Lady In My Life', this is my all time favourite JP!
