Good metronome for Android?

I've got two metronomes on my Samsung S6, 'Mobile Metronome' and 'Tempo'. Both good but there's a nano second delay on pressing start with either. So it takes a few goes to sync it exactly with a song for example. A student of mine has an iPhone and he downloaded Metrotimer by Onyx 3. It's got a nice looking interface and also a human voice option, sounds the same as the voice you get with some electric kits. Pretty cool. When pressing start on his phone there was no delay. I can't download Metrotimer though as it's not on Google Play. I don't know if it would work any better on my phone or if there's a general Android issue. Have any other Android users here experienced this?

I've written real-time audio code on Android before, and there's no reason it can't start (effectively) immediately when you hit the button if coded correctly.
Don't know anything about the metronome space under Android, though, so can't recommend one that's well-written. :( Sorry.

I run Tempo on my Android as well and experience the same latency when pressing play on the metronome. It makes finding tempos of songs harder than it has to be.
Definitely keen to hear if anyone has any solutions or alternative apps!

Will check those out, thanks guys. Hopefully no latency. I like that 7metronome has the ability to create rhythms, almost a drum machine. Keep em coming!

I'm getting a tad more lag with 7metronome than my other two. I won't bother to pay for time guru as it'll probably have the same latency. With Mobile Metronome and Tempo, if I press the button really gently from a height of only about 4 millimeters it's ok, but if I tap it from any higher with any normal finger tap force, it's delayed. It's a bit shit and clearly something iPhone has nailed and Android hasn't. I had the same problem with these metronomes on my previous Android phone.

What kind of a lag do you mean?
