Now personally, for me, Joni's "Solid Love" w/Vinnie is THE ONE.
Studio version is not on youtube. Why.? I guess you have to be a semi muso to get it.
If there was I record I burned a hole in during my mid to late teens it was definetly "Wild Things Run Fast." Amazing musicianship all way through. Was pretty much my introduction to both Mike and Vinnie.
Sort of brings us to this.

I have always loved this groove. Chester Thompson.
Of course...if you only played one measure most drummers would know it, and a lot of lay folks too.
The groove on this tune is deep, that pulsing 6 combined with that melody and fretless. Love it.

That Omar groove is an all-time classic...this concert pretty much blew everyone away!
It was the Ringo moment for modern drummers.

Get the Knack was an amazing LP. Tons of explosive energy.
Such a great band and drumming...then the second LP, similar
to Missing Persons first to second disaster. Most only know of
My Sharona...whole LP is excellent!

What??? Every Missing Persons record stands on its own. They're all great in their own way. Are you referring to
Spring Session M or
Rhyme & Reason or
Color in Your Life? I had them all (on vinyl), including the first EP. Saw them live four times. Incredible. Best Bozzio shit ever (aside from Heavy Metal Bebop and UK's Danger Money).

Spring Session M Vs Rhyme & Reason...huge departure in sound, production, direction.
First record, like The Knack was raw, cutting edge, brilliant...than after success, record label
took control and ruined all that raw energy. Roto tom kit to the electronic kit...come
on now!
Rhyme & Reason was horrid, even Bozzio said the electronic drums thing was stupid.
I can't get through one song on that second LP. Color in Your Life? came out in '86 and Terry
got smart and ditched the electronic crap, but too much time passed. It is much better
than R&R. No Secrets was GREAT...this could have been on the first LP.
Spring Session M was brilliant. Bozzio's drumming changed the scene here...he brought
Tony Williams to a new culture like nobody else.
The Knack to ...But the Little Girls Understand is Spring Session M to Rhyme & Reason.
Later on, The Knack got back to good with Serious Fun...that is excellent! Billy Ward
killed it on the record.
