Thanks Morgenthaler!

And yeah, wrong Matt on Geddy's record. That's Matt Cameron. It gets confusing, being that Matt Chamberlain also played with Pearl Jam for a brief stint, just before Abbrusseeze.

That Wallflowers record is full of tasty playing. It's easier to go back now and listen to it, now that it's not being played every other song on the radio like it was when it was released.

Here's a transcription I did of Matt's intro on Sara Evans "Born To Fly"

That's not Matt playing on the song, it's Chris Whitten. The original drummer was bad or left. Chris Whitten did the album and then Matt joined the band to tour and record the following album which is great.

Chris Whitten is an excellent drummer too.

Oups! But that's Matt on the video(?)
I think Chris went with Dire Straits afterwards.

Yes, Matt's in the video, toured with the band and did the 2nd studio album. Chris Whitten played with Paul McCartney on his first big come back tour/album and then toured with Dire Straits. Chris Whitten has played on a lot of cool stuff.

Matt's playing on Edie's second record, Ghost of a Dog, is fantastic. Pick it up if you get a chance. He was a monster even back then. Also, his cover story in Drumhead this last month is pretty enlightening.
