I'm a huge Boston fan, they still put on stellar shows to this day.
His playing was all over the radio when I was a kid. He came up with some cools beats and fills, more a "pub" drummer than perhaps a slicker pro, but that's what was nice about the 70s, the variety.
Passed playing a set on a cruise ship.

Way too young to die. That is crazy!
I loved that first Boston record. I wore it out and could probably sing every guitar solo. That may be one of the first records that I learned every little fill and drum lick from. I remember going to the record store every week asking when the new Boston record was coming out. I don't think the second one came out for at least four or five years or something crazy.

I gotta say, they still put on a killer show. Gary Pihl is unbelievably good. Those harmonized solos are ferocious.
Every song on the first record has a great hook. The second record has some good spots, but nothing matches that first one.

Who knew. Sounds like Sib was a good man.

Rest In Peace & Love to my second dad Sib Hashian.
Don't know why things have to happen the way they do sometimes. When loved ones leave us so suddenly without having a chance to say goodbye.
Perhaps the lesson here is the reminder to live our lives as full and as present as we possibly can, because we just never know what's around the corner.
What a full and exciting life this man lived. What an amazing family he created, loved, watched over and protected.
Being on stage, in front of adoring fans, friends and family. Keeping the beat one last time. Your passing in this manner is extremely poetic and somehow beautiful.
Thank you for the many life lessons you've taught over the years. Grateful.
We love you Sib. We miss you. Yhmwitcoltroml. "Hasan burgers" for everyone in heaven.

Sib's drumming especially on the first LP was EPIC!
That LP was a game changer...blew the roof off.
Sib far more than a pub drummer...his playing
was a great as anyone with Boston...perfect!
I concur with Paul...I was ALL over that first
record...all my buddies would sit and listen
to the entire record (those were the days) in
high school. Sib was as smooth as glass...
Delp's vocals stunning...the guitar sound...
Great loss for our community!!!
