I call this "song drumming"...and the pocket practice is perfect for this!

For whatever its worth...our own Kaide is a great example of all of this!
His playing is spot on always for me...I get a ton from watching him.
His Live playing does not depart from his "practice" playing...time/groove/
feel solid as a rock.

I've watched lots of Kaitsu vids recently, yeah, he's great!
