Didn't get into SD until I was around 19 and that was the Gaucho album.
Much guitar playing delegated to Larry and Steve etc.., but someone was making it happen.

The quick and short of it is that Becker and Fagen mastered songwriting, and then they did it justice by bringing in musicians who had mastered playing. It's a combination that's never been matched IMO. Huge loss and eternally grateful for their music.

Didn´t know that Walter recorded Book of Liars on one of his solo albums... One of my SD favs for sure! Great legacy. RIP.

Walter was a riot onstage.
After the gig Sunday, we watched a show from 2006 with Carlock. Walter's solos were audacious. He soloed over Josie...such weird notes!
