I think if we were to constantly sue people over chord progressions we'd have like 2 songs left.

music biz is simple: sharks in water! everyone associated is totally dependent on talent.
they are all bakers wanting a slice of the pie! every business is like this in some way.
radiohead might not need the cash, metalica might not need the cash but some lawyer
can make $$--some secretary might be promised something so they do the paperwork...
trickle! Rick gets into this rant on the music school video worth viewing...details on
american idol success Kelly Clarkson and her first record which sounded a lot like the
jared leto 30 secs to mars documentary which if one looks too closely will never want
to pursue their dreams because you have better chance of getting struck by lightening
on a sunny day playing golf than making real money doing anything music!

So, the the moral is that lawyers should stop screwing their secretaries.

lol...that will never happen!

I liked this as well...(hijacking your thread Rudy)
solid info from a non-drummer...some of his measurements
are off a bit, but that happens making a vid...
some guys complained it was too much info, but this
is for recording in studio

Yes pathetic. It's a fairly bland and predictable melody over an equally ubiquitous chord progression...and where did the Hollies get it from??

The local classic rock station plays the same songs every day still.

I can remember the days where music on radio was treated with respect, album sides and extended cuts.

What the hell. Sad.

Well, speaking of home recording, I've been having fun learning more about using Logic, as well as recording in general.
