THE RAYFORD GRIFFIN
ALLSTARS
REGGIE HAMILTON...BASS
HANZ ZERMUELEN...KEYS
GREG VAIL...SAX
RAYFORD GRIFFEN..SUPER DRUMS
$20.00

One of my fav drummers...almost no RG talk in HOD but this guy
is great. His early work w/JLPonty was very influential for me.
One of the great guys to meet...doing a date as a no-name drummer
pretender wannabe in North Hollywood over 20 years ago and when
I walk into studio I see cases that have the white stamp "RG JLP" on them.

NO WAY...YES...there he is...laying down a track, meet in the hallway...
"Hi, I'm Joe, big fan...love your work" Walk away thinking, "That was
a cool guy!" Humble, modest, real, sees himself as another working
drummer, easy to be around. Love to see these cats still grinding the
pavement!

Cool! Rayford was THE 1st professional world-class drummer I saw live!! Which was back in 1982 with JLP... As a teen back then, he changed my outlook on drumming forever.. Great drummer.. Wish I could see him play live again someday... Enjoy and please write a review!

MISS Cafe Cordial! That was a great place...Steve was coolest owner ever.
Also, that little place in the Valley near Studio City...forgot the name,
One of Bonham's influence used to play there all the time with Joe Porcaro
& Emill Richards...how could I forget his name! Oh...Earl Palmer!!!

This stuff grooves forever...especially Elephants! (send that song to DT to wtfu)

I never get tired of watching this. Saw him with JLP over the summer...he is still a monster player, wow. Power all night, and they were playing deep JLP cuts, the hard tunes. He was kicking the shit out of that stuff, and of course took an extended solo that was crazy.
