"The comments...brutal."...well, here's another I suppose.

Impressions of Gregg Potter: A used car salesman with chops.
Of ALL the drummers to represent Mr Rich...Gregg Potter?
Hmmm, someone is keep Cathy warm at night...because he
makes ZERO sense!

When Dave played, that band was thinking, "We ALL want to smile
and show a sign of RELIEF...but Gregg will chew our butt's after
and threaten our jobs...like a kid crying only to be taken from
a parent, this band was crying when Dave left..."Dave...please
one more song before our lousy step-dad comes back!"

Not playing shrink here, but Cathy most likely grew up with
an absent father, and connects to him through his legacy...
this reeks of some type of passive-aggressive dysfunction...and
some how, some way there is money at the root of any problem
here.

Of course there is the simple explanation...she just loves her daddy
and Gregg is the best drummer for this band.

Dude has no shortage of confidence however...Potter is a rock
drummer playing in a family band...tell me he is not at home here?

It should be the:

Cathy Rich Big Band featuring Greg Potter..

Then nonone would go see it and be underwelmed...

He's a good drummer... But to me shouldn't be using the name Buddy Rich... That should be reserved for actual members of his band.. Ala Buddy Rich alumni band...

Also I don't think it would be as bad as it seems if he and Cathy didn't do interviews.. To me they seem desperate for attention and validation.

False start train wreck! Apparently, not everyone in the band was ready to play . . .

LOVE how he handled this...his command and fluid motion is amazing...
that intro was super musical...dude was super alpha...freak of nature
ergonomically...no wasted motion anywhere...again...the wrist/hand
development always comes to mind watching BR

...afterwards, in the dressing room, those guys might have got an earful!

Cheap enough to get just for laughs and say you have a replica of Buddy's kit.

Buddy Rich on a mini-me set with Bird, Hawk and Pres. Audio is pre-recorded. Notice no ride cymbal.
