Happy (fusion version)
Happy (fusion version)
Happy new year guys. I got my home recording gear together and learnt how to use the DAW that came with it. Samson mics, Presonus 1818vsl and Studio One Artist. Though for this recording I imported the stems of my recording into Reaper and mixed in that using a Chris Lord Alge plugin called CLA Drums which is pretty good! For budget mics and no proper experience on mixing, I think I got a fairly decent balance. The track was sent to me by a drummer who had it created for him by his friend. It's a remix of 'Happy' but more interesting than the original from a drumming POV. It's got some loose moments but overall I'm pretty 'happy'. My upstairs neighbour must hate me, it was so fucking loud, lol. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks guys, HOD has the members with the highest standards of all drum forums so it's an honour to get compliments here, even with my sloppy timing in places, lol. Much appreciated!
