If you need more than one or those built in mics are other than top notch I'm not sure how many problems this thing is really solving.

This however is kinda cool.

The Yamaha EAD is amazing, I can't wait to get one. It solves the issue that I have of how to practice at home, to listen to music and to be able to hear the drums while I practice. But if you want to become a You Tube drummer, then it does everything for you.

I was thinking it would work well enough for small gigs.

This however is AMAZING! WOW...I want a Phil Collins Duke drum sound!
Perfect for playing in a cover band...I remember when Roland got popular...
all I really ever wanted is to capture classic drum sounds...most guys get lazy.
I can only recall a few playing in cover bands that would tweak the kit for
each song...Beatles tune, get a Ringo sound, etc. Takes effort but worth it
for the audience. Now...same sound output on an acoustic kit...

More in depth EAD options...a Roland brain on an acoustic kit!
Once this technology extends to hats and cymbals we are in the
money!

NAMM for musicians is purely a hang,.. But it's not there for musicians.... it's there for retailers.. In Canada we used to have MIAC which was our version of NAMM..

Over time it died out as all the retailers saw the same stuff at NAMM,.. and NAMM was far larger and compaies always brought more stuff to show..

If any of you guys get the EAD system, please post vids or reports!
Also, what external amplification system used...how you would
use this in a gig situation through the PA or ??? Or...at home
practicing over just headphones. All the great tech in the world
is still in submission to good speakers yes?

But seriously... Current colors aren't bad but I just find their color choice not matching my own personal taste 100%... With that kind of money, I need to totally love the whole package...

Yet... Marine Blue is nice...

These too...
