Is it okay to be jealous of both the playing AND the gear? Well, I am. Nice job!
Moderation's all well and good, just don't overdo it.

I haven't done drum covers lately but after I heard this track, I got the inspiration to try to learn this. Anderson Paak played a great drum track on the original version.

Here's a Weeknd cover from the new album, no crashes/toms this time.

I enjoyed that Kaide. I really like that minimalistic approach.

Once a year or so, my buddies come from Colorado and Florida and we create stuff... They're coming back mid Feb to FROZEN Illinois and we're going to take a stab at 3 tunes. My primary group here in IL records weekly. Mostly Steely Dan, Little Feat, Clapton, James Taylor, etc., so THIS stuff is good for my quick reflexes and keeps my odd time chops up.
Dig. Enjoy.

Hi!
After 22 years I finally got myself a new set of drums. Went with the Tama Walnut Birch kit. I will mainly be using for a band I play a lot of gigs live with (and where the equipment is always on the road). I´ve been using my vintage ´83s Tama Superstar kit for that band, but since it is 40 years old I thought it would be nice to get that set back to my studio place, and use the new kit (with better hardware and holders) for the gigging band.
Anyway - just did a cover of Jake To The Bone to test it out (since it is really much the same config as Jeff used), so thought that would be a cool song to test it out.

This is a little Shuffle/blues/funk lesson I did playing the FHH in that special place.
I love the flavor that it gives to all the triplet based grooves.
Based in a Steve Gadd´s idea (if I don´t recall bad)
