Looks like you have enough time there.

This is something I did in the summer of '18. Overall I give myself a 6.5/10, lol. Needed to lay it back more, mostly on some fills that are a bit too forward. Have been practising a lot since then and have worked specifically and pretty much exclusively on those things. Staying relaxed and getting better consistency of spaces between strokes. Anyway, here it is warts and all..

Transcription I wrote for myself.

Hard for anyone to recreate Purdie's (not Rick Marotta) playing. Good stuff!

NICE Rudy...SD tunes are great for repetitive play to nail that groove...
respect for recording yourself...we are our worst critics...i always ask
"How far do i go on a song?" what really is good? now the OCD part of me
can lock onto it longer than needed lol Well done...

Thanks fellow hod'ers. Yeah, there's me trying to copy Bernard Purdie's feel. I mean what could possibly go wrong! Wearing my purdie t-shirt only helped a little :D

I did my first live Q & A on YouTube. Check it out if you have extra time during these difficult times.

Beautiful playing, Rudy. That’s such a great song and my personal favorite SD album.
