John Guerin

I just felt it would be nice to have a thread about John. Amazing taste, feel and whatever else. He plays on so much of my favourite stuff. Obviously with Joni.

Not famous in the sense as some other sthough, so any info, playing, interviews, stuff about teachers, influences, lineage etc... much appreciate, but me anyway.

Wild Things Run Fast was sort of my real introduction to Joni, Mike and Vinnie, but everything and everyone is gold on that album. Less flash than Vinnie, but sooo good.

By objective standards, those drums sound a little bit odd.

But, they work. Love how he had freedom to play and support her.

This is pretty cool.

Well yeah., but it's the time when most drums sounded lke paper boxes on tape.

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember Joni saying in an interview that she and John were a couple at this time.
