Glass Petals

Postby Victor Lipman » Thu Jan 20, 2011 8:41 pm

Hi guys,

I wanted to share with you some stuff of my new band, named Glass Petals.
It's folk/pop/rock style.

I met the singer and guitarist Tim Smisek in Paris a few months ago.
He was in Chicago before this year, and he found new musicians in Paris for the band he created in Chicago.
I'm glad to be his drummer now.

Here are two videos of the band. Videos with the actual musicians will be recorded very soon.

I hope you'll like it.

Victor.

Good luck with this project, sadly for me the music is just another example of the banal tripe that is churned out these days, sorry.

I'm with Lucas on this- you guys know Victor pretty well at this point, and know he really cares about his projects and what he does. This is a pretty small, close knit group- don't kick a dude in the dick like that! Even if you don't like the tunes- i mean... sheeesh!

Victor, dude- get some footage of you playing in this band up in here. Lets see what you bring as the new guy!

How is this going to work? Are you moving to Chicago? Is he moving to Paris? Who's getting the necessary visas in order? No small feat.

Post up some recordings of you playing with the band when you have them.

Thanks guys for your comments!

We'll record a video in March, in the same studio as here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDxWDVLN42s
I can't wait! I'll share the video with you.

@DSOP : The singer moved to Paris, and we're playing in France & Europe.
But we'll play in the US later, I hope!

Just played the cajon with the band for an acoustic gig in the center of Paris tonight. Was fun!

Victor.

@Lucas & sevenoverthree : thanks guys. Tough crowd yeah, but people just say that they think. It's often kind of brutal when posted on forums...
I just share some stuff I like to be involved in, I'm glad if some of you enjoy it.
