Beat me to it.
The story about the pretend sword fighting on stage with drumsticks over John P's bass solo (singing no less) is CRAZY!

I'm so thankful for Chick. His music altered the direction of my life forever. What an amazing one of a kind artist.

I was already working on a new collaboration video for a cover of Raju (inspired by the 5 Peace Band version) with some baaaaad cats. I'm hoping to finish it and dedicate it to Chick. What a huge loss.

17 minutes of some heavy shit. The sax solo section is so good, Gadd gets rubbery and the subtle dialogue between him and Chick's synths, love it. Heard this on Sirius the other day.

Very sad news!!!

First time I became aware of Chick was through RTF Romantic Warrior.  I distinctly remember that it was the beautiful solo on "Sorceress" that did it for me, I've pursued and enjoyed his music ever since....

Sorceress

This was my 1st Chick LP purchase, Alex rules here... Don Alias a pleasant discovery too...

My personal Gadd revelations were:

Humpty Dumpty

Mad Hatter Rhapsody

The One Step

Then was given a VHS copy of this show in College, Weckl was the new  kid on the block...

Vinnie's drive and energy with the Akoustic band was phenomenal....

Five Peace Band - New Blues Old Bruise

On and on and on ..... RIP....

That list is a relic from a different era. Sadly.

There is so much coming out in the last few days. Chick adores Weckl. They are 2 peas in a pod.
RIP Chick. Thank you for your bright energy and love of the drums.
P.S. there's great footage of Herbie and Chick I haven't seen before. Chick was a COMET. One we see only every 500 yrs.
