God, I love Omar's touch.
I remember going to MI back 91 and going over to my next door neighbors place, watching Omar with the Buddy Rich band (fanny pack and all) on VHS, over, and over, and over, and over again. Still a phenomenal performance in every way and it looks to me as if Omar is still the same smiling cat, throwin' down some Africa, some funk, and some just plain ol' silly chops.
So much fun to see Omar, every time.

Man, I love Omar's feel and ideas! I first heard of him on Dream of the Blue Turtles and the Bring on the Night concert video. I also got a chance to meet him at PASIC in 1989. He's a very cool dude!
