General chat topic for 2023! I hope everyone has a great year.
Anyone have any exciting new plans this year? I plan on continuing with the drum room streams. I've upgraded the room with some new exciting gear over the last couple months and its been fun trying get a good drum sound in real time.

Re: 2023 Chatty!
No big plans music wise other than there being a daily routine.
Considering a 20" L80 to see if that feels better, but was sort of hoping they'd make a 22".
Most exciting part at current time would be the large dome tent, stove and sled I saved up for over this fall. Not much snow and actually pouring down rain right noe, but hopefully temps will drop again by next weekend, so I can take her out. More or less packed up and ready to go.
Adding to and refining all the outdoor stuff in many ways which is that other big thing for me next to music. All the outdoor gear I've gotten the past year would buy a lot of drum and other music equipment, but there has to be balance. I've applied for some stuff that if I get it can only go to music, but it's sort of a long shot.

Re: 2023 Chatty!
I'm getting some gigs coming in, Garth and Shania tributes. Hopefully this continues, these are well paid and fun, a bit of stress as no rehearsal and different folks from Canada and the US, and big crowds.
I guess I'm a tribute band drummer:
Pink Floyd - a couple different ones
Grateful Dead - a couple different ones
Elton - a couple different ones
Shania
Garth
Billy
David

Hey Steve, I asked this on the Rules thread but you probably didn't see it there.
Is there a way to make the forum show the first unread post automatically when I click on a thread?
Not a huge issue but would make it smoother to read, specially on my phone.

These 1980 Jeff Beck shows with a 23 year old Simon are crazy. He doesn't sound 23 at all, it's like he had his vibe, power and sound from birth.
I'm playing a sold-out show tomorrow, found out a get a brief solo. Thinking Mick Fleetwood-ish, but maybe throwing in a little Space Boogie or Scatterbrain...not sure.
Stevie with Terry and Jeff. This is when Terry still used cymbals.
