Hey!
Why don't we add a sticky for all of the cool youtube vids and lessons that HODers have done? I think that's a fine idea, and think that I could learn a lot of cool exercises and licks from all the cool people on this board, rather than starting a new thread every time someone has a video to post. Then it would be archived, and that would make me happy. I'll start by uploading this thrown together last minute lesson thingie. Enjoy! Or... don't.

Probably a good idea. I posted mine a few months back in the weekend chatty and I think it got lost in there since not everyone reads that section. I did not want to post mine in Chris Perra thread and butt in.

Nice job, Tom. I enjoyed the lesson. Post more if you get the time.
I wish someone would do a more comprehensive, step-by-step lesson on this subject with tips on how to keep from getting an open sound while alternating from stick to foot.

To Clint, I do a little of this on the Linear video on my page. Not in depth, but the trick is to use the tip of the stick and make sure you leave your foot fully down on the pedal until you have struck the hat. Do not lift the foot to early or you will get an open hat sound. Hope this might help.
