This is Shannon Forrest out of Nashville. I f you arent familiar with him, check him out. He is a MONSTER. Doing alot of session work in Nashville. I tried to copy this from facebook, so if there isnt a video at the top click on "just Shannon Forrest" and the video will come to the top. This is his band 80th Action at Shannon's studio. Recorded with a hand-held so not great, but you'll get the point!

I enjoyed Shannon's performance on the MD Fest 2010 DVD and on the video link. He definitely plays with the spirit of Jeff in mind.

BTW, I think we're the only drummers from Alabama on here. Welcome to HOD. :)

Thats cool. Id love to have seen him at the festival. I have seen clips of him playing at Toto's musician HOF induction in Nashville and yes, he plays alot like Jeff.

So where in Alabama are y'all from. Im up north, midway between Nashville and Birmingham on I65. Close to Huntsville. Nice meeting y'all.

Both sides of my family are from a little town called Kimberly. I suppose it's known as Morris proper, between Gardendale and Warrior.

I'm crossing my fingers I can get back there for a few days this summer. We'll have to do an Alabama HoD hang. ;)

Matt, in my best Johnny Carson voice, "I did not know that". I work in downtown Birmingham. I'd love nothing better than a hang. Let me know if you're coming.

I've been to Cullman many times. When I was in high school on summer and winter visits, that's where all the cute girls lived -- the cute girls who were much less likely to be my cousins.

That was an important thing you had to keep in mind back then. You never knew who you could be related to.
