Some cool ideas, thanks!

I spent the last two days at the hospital. Went at the emergency because my left calf was all swollen up, hot and hurting like crazy. Got a Doppler scan and they diagnosize thrombophlibitis.
I have to leave my leg up so blood can flow, move it once in a while and I take medecine.
F**k and I'm playing on Saturday.

You normally can get this if you're immobile for a long period of time or with a big trauma or hit to the leg. But the only thing I can think of is serious left foot clave workouts in the last weeks.
Doctor said it shouldn't have caused this. But I feel the leg takes an impact/shock when hitting that jam block with a hard beater which is different from the bass drum head or hi-hat.
We play two latin numbers where I solo over a vamp and I wanted to give LFC another chance, looks like it's not for me. So it inspires some quotes:

"Don't mess around with Left Foot Clave, it's not a toy!"
or
"LFC sucks!"
or
"Welcome to the one-leg drummer freakshow!"

Anyone of you already got that kind of injury from foot pedals abuse?

or this one inspired by Pete Zeldman (paraphrasing):

"You say I sound like a skipping record!?!

Can't you hear those simultaneous multi-cross-rhythmic patterns
combined bit by bit leading to a tabla-like 25 over 16 superstucture
with contrapuntal, bent african cross-rhythms built upon,
taking their cue from a displaced 16th-note pattern which underpins
multiple, simultaneous tempi against a 5/4 backdrop
in the agreeable fashion of hemiola??"

Obviously, I would need the front and back of the t-shirt...

A couple, courtesy of Buddy:

New phrasing, new bending, new sounds, no time!

...there's no sound in flutes. All I hear is noise!

It should be okay thanks. I divided the tunes in 3 sets instead of 2.
I leave my Cajate bracket/jam block home and go easy on the double-kick.
Tell you bro to come and say Hi!

Gig went well. Place was packed. Good dough for fusion.
I could hear people: "WTF, the drummer is walking to his kit with crutches!?!"
After the 1st set, the boss came to us and said it was too short and didn't want 3 sets, only 2 as usual. Couldn't care less about my leg. After a short break we went back and played for 1h30.
I can't say my blow in the encore on the Gypsy Queen vamp was epic cause by that time my leg was numb.... :(

Plain t-shirt this time again.
That one would have fit the situation because tearing down in the crowd with my leg was a pain...
