Come on, guys... Give the guy a break!
It´s so easy to say what the others have to improve or study; I try to keep those feeling for MY OWN playing...
The man´s trying to share a cool exercise... What´s the deal with saying he can swing/he´s doesn´t have his sh+t togheter?

This method isn't much different then the syncopation stuff....

I agree this isn't swinging one bit. He clicks himself in out of click.

That John Riley video has John doing this kind of thing but flawlessly.

Thanks Andrew... Interesting idea. I will look into that book and see if it's something I can work on.

yeah, for sure man. keep in mind what i said, because while the book comes with an intro, that degree of precision isnt necessarily implied. if youre more lax about how well you want to play the exercises, it can be relatively basic (though the higher number exercises get quite complicated). additionally, practicing the exercises super slow (i mean slowwwwww) and trying to 100% bury the click and make sure rhythmically you are smooth and consistant can be really challenging. in light of that, you really need to record yourself to see how well you are truly doing. if you get the book, i can offer some tempo recommendations i got from a great teacher. but beware. it takes a ton of patience and discipline because it's a b%^$h!
