Triggering samples/Gavin?
Re: Triggering samples/Gavin?
I read up on the Yamaha and it would appear to do what I'm looking for. You can also load your own samples via usb apparently. The only downfall is probably the 64MB RAM that it uses for loading wav's. I'll have to take a look at my samples to see how large they are. thanks.

Yeah, you just load them into an USB drive, then plug it into the unit and the import is really quick and easy. I think in rough numbers there were up to 500 samples you could import.
EDIT: Again, I can't talk much about the Roland because the Yamaha is, obviously, the one they're lending me for my touring stuff and reviews. It has its downsides but for live purposes it should be more than enough. The cool thing about it is that, afaik, it comes with Cubase LE and it serves as a Cubase controller so the options are wider. Don't wanna sound as a salesman
