Joe Morello passes away

According to Hudson Music, Morello has passed away. Sad indeed.

Oh man. And I was just celebrating the fact he was still around in another thread last night. I'll never play drums as good as him, but I hope I can at least play as long as he did.

Huge loss for music- Joe Morello has passed. I remember sitting right next to his kit at a clinic at LAMA. The guy just knew things about the instrument that changed the drums for all of us. He will be missed but his legacy lives on... "Take Five", Joe- you deserve it.

I'm pretty bummed out...

i used to watch his solos and the technique video everyday for a looooong time...

he seemed like a sweet guy.
he will surely be missed.

Wow. Today is my birthday, which is supposed to be a great day, but what shitty news to wake up to as your birthday present - a favourite of yours passed away. RIP, Joe.
