Vinnie Transcriptions

Postby kinkymook » Wed Mar 23, 2011 11:02 pm

Might have been posted before, or you already have in your library, but just found this and thought, "Here's a few years of work!" Anybody put any time into these transcriptions?

I've seen these but thanks for the reminder. Brad is or was a member here. The Wishful Thinking transcription is actually a David Garibaldi solo. David said so somewhere...

P.S. I also recall David saying / writing that it was a "through-composed" break based on ideas he was working on at the time.

Marc Atkinson is your man for Vinnie transcriptions. He has tons of Zappa done.

I know Marc has the Unreel Book out, is there more with the Zappa stuff, etc. or whatever, available? That would be nice.

Thanks! I remember seeing Vai's Zappa transcriptions years and years ago. It looked insanely complex. Didn't recall there were drum parts in there, too.

Against the Clock slays me every time. I can't believe I let that CD sit on my closet floor for two years before picking it up and giving it an earnest listen.
