iDrum new online drum mag free!!!

Postby Gavin Harrison » Thu Mar 24, 2011 11:16 am

Guys this looks really good. My old buddy Ian Croft - (who was editor of DRUMMER UK magazine) has finally launched the new virtual mag. I've known it was coming for some time - and invited Ian's guys to come and film myself and Simon whilst we were rehearsing our drum duet for the GC event.

Lot's of GREAT video content. (I noticed that Flash Player 10 was needed). Really nice Neil Peart interview.

cheers

Fantastic, an awesome work !!!
Your part with Simon, in the rehearsal room (SIMON´s STUDIO) is great, almost 30 minutes of video footage.

Top production in all aspects in the magazine.
Congratulations and THANKS to all envolved.

Thanks Gavin.

PD: your snare drum sound, and I think the toms too, is one of the best I´ve heard from you. More crisp, with some beautiful overtones...maybe just because the overheads mics are higher in the mix than other times I´ve heard you with this exact drumset.

Simon´s studio is beautiful, and the sound that come from it....

(Gavin and Simon are on page 82)

The presentation of the magazine is first class...
There are videos in almost every section.

And it's free! Wow what a great experience. Great online mag. This is what it's all about. 5 stars. 10 out of 10. Not into drum duets but it was well done. Neil Peart interview very good.

Great stuff
A+ for the on-line mag. Finally someone is doing it right.
Cheers to Ian and his crew for putting this together.

Lets go Modern Drummer, step-up and get your on line presence together.

Thanks for sharing, Gavin! Wonderful.

You both sound absolutely great on those clips. Really nice insight into preparing for a drum duet and trying to making it more musical and dynamic.
Nice to see you both so relaxed yet at the same time knowing there was a short time preparing for it and the difficulty it must be to remember it all.

Apple fanboys will not be impressed, with Jobs' stubborn blinkered attitude to Flash.

Wow!
What a great treat for a Friday morning ! Great design, stunning visuals, plenty of good writing and loads of relevant video content - I would willingly pay to subscribe to this if the standard stays this high.
Thanks Gavin for the heads-up - there goes my weekend!
