It was a pleasure to finally meet you Steve. I'll try to come out more often. You played really well, and even "inspired" at times. Good times!

We did a 3 cam shoot (including an overhead drum cam), I might have some vids pending how much I cringe when viewing the footage, Stand by. :)

Always love the footage you share with us Steve. The last footage you shared your playing was on fire and agressive.

If only I lived in LA...

Excellent, super tasty playing I'm sure was to be heard. Love every video you post Steve, fresh ideas and beautiful execution!

this was a stupifyingly good gig. in all honesty, the best jazz/fusion gig i've seen since wayne shorter at the blue note. i was supremely psyched to have been able to make it.

the fellas were tighter than a gnat's ass and just seriously inspired the entire night. it got better with each tune. just being able to see 'angular' live was worth the price of admission. but they also did fantastic upbeat renditions of 'giant steps' and 'all the things you are.' you want yer swing with massive forward momentum? they got that.

i know it sounds like i'm really sucking up, but steve is my new drum hero. i just die every time i hear him resolve a fill. frickin' spot on everytime. and his little 'curl my legs up like a turtle' mode at the end of each tune is brilliant.

i dragged my 70-year old uncle with me, who is a jazz aficionado, and he was smitten. i'll be gifting him the altered music compendium this holiday.

steve, it was a pleasure meeting and chatting with you. wish i could've stayed for the second half, but seattle was calling. if i could, i'd send ya a congratulatory batch of joe from fremont coffee out here--i suspect it could put 'the bean' to shame.

cheers and COME TO FRIGGIN' NYC ALREADY!!!
