Hey S.P,
could you edit the first post of this thread, delete the content (you reposted the content in the "YouTube Musicians" thread") and let everyone know that this is the misc YouTube thread (maybe you could add the 'misc' to the title) ?
Otherwise there will be confusion.

All sorted mate, labelled this as non-youtube musicians video thread...for all other vids that won't fit into the categories you would like posted on your thread.

This has always been one of my favorite YouTube drum clips. I remember when someone put it up about a year ago a few pooped on it because the kid is way into Chris Dave (and maybe copied a lot of his licks). I don't really care. I love his ideas and applications and he didn't seem to be relying on lick terminology to me ... he's stretching himself. You can almost see the wheels turn in his head as he moves from one passage to another.

He's a beast. Been waiting for a new vid from him for a while.

Cool thread. In another threat someone questioned that european drummers can't play straight ahead jazz. It's not that that comment pis**ed me off or so, but to prove otherwise:

cause I'm in a chauvanistic mood ....

And OK not that chauvanistic: Gino Vanelli's and dutch drummers.
Check out the fill's ...

and an alternate take:

And I also dig swedish drummer Morgan Agren:

Omar's one of those drummers you don't want to hear solo unless he's playing over a vamp. Then the beauty of his playing is elevated.

Go to 5 minute mark of John Scofield's Techno from Still Warm and listen to Omar play one of the greatest solos-over-vamps I've ever heard.
