I got tired of trying to sell people on this solo, so I just uploaded to YouTube. Still Warm is a must-have CD if you like either Omar or Sco.

This is some must watch Tony Williams if you have never seen this clip:

This is one of my all-time favourite clips....

The flam lick he plays at 1:20 (Sounds like swiss triplets with the right hand split between the tom and ride and the left hand on the snare) and the whole of his trade at 2:10 are incredible!!!

S.P wrote:JohnDrum, nice playing! Your timing is good and you seemed to play the parts well. One piece of constructive criticism, you seemed a bit stiff, maybe it was because you knew you were being filmed? Thanks for sharing!

thanks SP, but that's John Blackburn, not moi!!

I have never checked out a Scofield CD before, but I've seen him live and heard the ocassional track he's on for other artists. I got this CD because of your post and man, oh man! I'm diggin' it! Omar is grooving very hard on "Rule of Thumb" and like you said his solo on "Techno" over the vamp took a while, but grew on me and I enjoy it a lot now. Thanks for the heads up!
