If Gary is the most talented in drums & piano...Virg has to be
on that list somewhere...his piano skills are way past tinkering.
Cats like Paul Gilbert on guitar and drums is pretty impressive
as well. Gilbert could play a concert on drums (rock gig) and few
in the audience would know he wasn't a drummer by trade if they
didn't know who he was. His musical maturity allows him to play
to the song and in time.

This accomplished pianist HAS TO BE a drummer... Closet-Drummer at the very least...

Lots of drummers that can play piano. Gary Novak, Kirk Covington..... Really, most serious bass players or drummers in the jazz world.

Erik Smith(don't know how many know about him, but Dave did) who hosted this weekends drum camp with Søren Frost definetly had his jazz piano skills down and showed them off when we were working with brushes.

Louis Cato slays on drums and bass (and plays guitars, vocals and horns here)...

btw, I do agree on Gary being one of the fewest that are playing-with-Mclaughlin good in more than one instrument... Charley Drayton and Jordan played bass and drums with the Xpensive Winos, Cato plays bass on Stephen Colbert tv thing and the list goes on... What Mclaughlin stuff? No way...
