The Blushda- My 2 Cents

Hello from Morristown, NJ! I'm up way late. My hours are flipped around cause I'm having trouble sleeping on the tour bus.
I finally made a video of my take on the ever evolving Blushda pattern. It's something a lot of students have asked about over the years so I thought it was a good idea to have a video to point out for them (along with the other great vids by Steve, Todd ect). It's my take on explaining the lick using a "cheating" sticking pattern to get there. And it also has a few variations on the pattern.

I've now biting my tongue off not to refer to this other guy in a sarcastical manner that did a video on the blushda and tried to promote himself through this forum very recently...
Your approach is the opposite: Great ideas and really down to earth demonstration .... Thanks!

Thx dudes! It's always great to connect with drummers in this way on the net. What's amazing to me is how you can take one idea like the blushda and have several drummers come up with several variations on the same thing. It never ends! It's the stuff that prevents me from getting a good night's sleep.
As for the tom sound- those heads are way old cause that's my practice kit. It doesn't get the TLC that my live kit would but for some reason the toms still sound ok with the beat up heads.
I was on a short break from tour so I couldn't wait to get back in the drum shed. It's cool to play the same 90 min set every night. It gets super tight with the band. But of course there's not a lot of practice time alone. I like doing the lesson vids when I can and I'll hopefully do more soon. I only had time for one but I had just got the Zoom Q3 and was playing around with it, so I also filmed a bit of me messing around with some new solo ideas but that's it. Great camrea, probably the best for filming/recording drums.
